Hi Maarten,

Good to know that this works for you in VS2010 for new projects. Yes, since this is fixed in VS11, we probably will not go back and fix this in VS2010. Thanks for your feedback.

As you mentioned, I tested that, the issue does -not- occur if a new project is created first and adding files to that. The issue only appears when you start fresh, with standalone documents.

As I also mentioned in my initial comment the issue, and I tested that as well, is indeed fixed for VS11 Beta. From your comment I read that you verified that as well and found it fixed in VS11 as well.

So the issue is limited to VS10 usage and probably won't be fixed given the cycle of VS11. I did however add the feedback item mainly for reference purposes so customers can verify and confirm their issue.

Thanks for confirming the issue.

Thanks for the feedback. We are able to repro the issue, but this does work for project files. Could you verify if you see this issue even for code files / project files?

This has been fixed in VS11 Beta.

Note, that this -does- work in Visual Studio 11 Beta !

In Visual Studio 11 Beta the unsaved solution is backed up in the Backup Files directory after <x> minutes (depending on setting) and the autorecover file is created.

So the issue is limited to Visual Studio 2010 (and the versions before?)
