Description

Code behind XAML, with methods decorated with the generatedcodeattribute, causes the whole class to be ignored when metrics.exe is run with the
/IgnoregeneratedCode option.
This seems to happen only on some machines. Same code on another machine works perfectly.
From what I can see, the binaries are same size, diff tool says there is some difference, but I cant see what that should be. The pdb files however are very different, the wrong one is twice the size of the correct one.

Hi Terje,

Per our email conversation, we believe that the difference in behavior is that you have Visual Studio 11 Beta installed with the .NET 4.5 framework which is bringing new copy of the code generator that attributes the generated class differently, which changes what the code metrics tool interprets as generated code. Since it appears that this is fixed in the recent versions, we are unfortunately unable to release a fix for the Visual Studio 2010 bits, so I will be resolving this bug as won’t fix.

Best Regards,
