Button "show all files" in the solution explorer rather unintelligently toggles the "show all files" in each project in the solution, regardless of whether some projects were already showing all files and some projects were not.

Thanks for the feedback.  It's been awhile since our last communication so I'm going to resolve and close this issue.  If you're still experiencing problems, please reactivate or create a new Connect bug.

Thank you for your feedback. Can you please submit a few screenshots (or a short video) that reproduces the bug?

I don't think this is the case buttons being hidden (too slowly). Certainly, it is confusing that there are two buttons labeled "Show All Files", with only marginally different icons. (Yes they are in different "groups" but the groups are not really obvious, nor are they labeled.)

However, the case remains that the solution level button merely toggles the current setting for each project, rather than what i would more expect, which is on first press, trueing-up all the projects to the same state, and only if all projects are already all in the same state to toggle them (all). This is pretty easy to reproduce, just put two projects in the same solution into a different state regarding show all files. Then go to the solution and use its Show All Files. It just toggles the varied settings of the sub projects -- which seems kinda unexpected and not very helpful to me.

Thanks for your feedback. The 'Show All Files' feature is a project-level option, and when the solution is selected, it disappears after a few seconds. What you might be experiencing is an unintended behavior related to the 'Show All Files' button disappearing a little late when a solution is selected.

Can you please confirm that this is indeed the issue?

Thank you,

Thanks for your feedback.

In order to fix the issue, we must first reproduce the issue in our labs. In order to efficiently investigate and reproduce this issue, we are requesting additional information outlined below.

I don't understand the step "Next, select the solution itself, and use "show all files"". There is no "show all files" button when I select 'solution itself'.
Could you please give us a video recording your steps so that we can conduct further research?

Please submit this information to us within 3 business days. We look forward to hearing from you with this information.
