cannot generate bootstrapper for Visual C++ Runtime 2012

We are using the msbuild task 'GenerateBootstrapper' ( to generate a bootstrapper for a setup project. For the parameter 'BootstrapperItems' we pass a list of items like...

For each of these items we need a product code to work. This code we get from the file product.xml of the respective package ('<SDKs>\Bootstrapper\Packages\<somePackage>\'). This approach worked up to Visual Studio 2010.
After rolling up to Visual Studio 2012 we can no longer find the product code for the Visual C++ Runtime (all other packages seem to have a proper product.xml with a product code).

Has the envisioned way to deploy MSVCRT changed?

Thanks for the report. This has been fixed for the next major release of Visual Studio.
