In both, VS 2010 and VS 2012 i can configure the main Editor Context Menu to show the "Synchronize Class View" command. When i select a method name in a .cpp-file in the Editor Window and execute the "Synchronize Class View" command:

in VS 2010: Class View expands its Tree and selects the method name for me. (good)
in VS 2012: The Ide merely beeps. (not so good)
