Description

CMFCShellTreeCtrl fails to select a UNC pathname which differs in case from what the network believes is correct.

e.g. if you have a machine WOLF with a share Files, then:

CMFCShellTreeCtrl m_treectrl;
m_treectrl.SelectPath("\\wolf\files");  // FAILS
m_treectrl.SelectPath("\\WOLF\Files");  // Succeeds

In general, the SelectPath(string, BOOL) member function is incredibly finicky, and can also fail for other nominally valid pathnames if they're not presented in canonical form.

I attached the .cpp of the work-around. I cannot add the .h of the work-around due to this site's policy to disallow .h files. Oversight?

What in the 9 hells is wrong with the maintainers of this website that all formatting is destroyed when I try to submit a problem description or a work-around! Is this 1980 or 2013?!
