Description

VS2012 either becomes unresponsive or crashes when opening C++ projects. Performing a full uninstall and reinstall does not help.

Setup:
* VS2012 Update 3.
* Windows 7 x64 (fully patched)

Thank you for the update. I am, however, in need for a "hotfix" for the problem on VS2012, so waiting for VS2013 (or later) is not an option for me.

Could you please let me know if there is any way for me to work-around the problem?

Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. This indeed is a bug in our product. We have fixed this issue in our internal builds, and the fix will be available in one of the future major releases of Visual Studio. Thank you for helping improve our product!

I've now attached CrashingCppProject.zip that contains a minimal 1-file C++ project that causes VS2012 to crash when I navigate in the C++ file.
