Description

Last week I noticed many of the icons in the buttons of our Online Team Foundation Service have been disappeared. This issue only happens with IE 10. I have tried the compatibility mode but no difference.

It works fine with Chrome (28.0.1500.95)

This bug is caused by an Intel driver. You can turn on Software Rendering in your browser (Internet Options -> Advanced tab -> Use Software Rendering) until we have patched the server.

We have been able to reproduce this behavior. In our case, it is related to a driver bug for the Intel HD 4000 graphics card (which is used on may new notebooks).

In TFS, we use an icon strip that hosts our icons. Recently we have added new icons, which bumped the width of the icon strip over 8192 pixels. In IE10, the Intel HD 4000 graphics card renders these wide images as a white image.

We will patch the TF Service as quickly as possible. In the meantime you can turn on Software Rendering in your browser (Internet Options -> Advanced tab -> Use Software Rendering).

Sorry for the inconvenience.
