Description

I use Bing maps quite frequently as part of my work, and every time I load a new window with Bing Maps I have to either type in an address to view the location/area I'm looking at, or zoom in from a view of the country I am in to the state/location I'm looking at.

It would greatly improve my user experience if Bing Maps were to either:

1. Allow the signed in user to select where Bing Maps loads to each time it is opened; or
2. Using the IP address, zoom into at least the State/Region where the computer is located (as Google Maps does by default).

You can zoom into your current location, although it is not by default. In the top-left corner, you click the geolocation icon with the description "Click to center the map on your current location". Clicking on the geolocation icon will zoom into your current location without typing an address.

The inconvenience of typing addresses can be solved by implementing new geolocation features.

See my more detailed geolocation suggestion here:

Use geolocation for directions, and add geolocation parameter or argument in Bing Maps URL:
