Use geolocation for directions, and add geolocation parameter or argument in Bing Maps URL
I want to use geolocation for directions from location A. It should not be required to type an address into the location A textbox.
I want to specify a URL parameter or argument to use geolocation for directions. For example, Google Maps uses geolocation for location A when the input is "My Location" or "Current Location" (case insensitive).
I have tried the same for Bing Maps using "My location", "Current location", and "Approximate location", but this is how the URL should look.
Bing Maps > Help > Build your own URL:
I have looked at the "Build your own URL" article and have also tried using the rtp parameter.
1) Add geolocation support, described above, for directions.
2) When the user is focused onto the location A textbox, populate the suggestions dropdown with geolocation keywords, like "My location".
3) When the user clicks "Go" to get directions, if the location A textbox is empty, then prompt the user for geolocation permissions. This makes the geolocation feature even easier to use because the user does not have to type "My location", "Current location", or "Approximate location".
