FAQs for Submitting Your Suggestions for Microsoft Dynamics Products 

For Microsoft Dynamics AX, Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online, Microsoft Dynamics GP,  Microsoft Dynamics NAV, Microsoft Dynamics POS (Point of Sale), Microsoft Dynamics RMS, Microsoft Dynamics SL, Microsoft Forecaster, and Management Reporter for Microsoft Dynamics ERP use the following instructions:

To submit a suggestion, become a member of the Microsoft Dynamics Suggestion program within Microsoft Connect by signing in with a free Windows Live ID. Already a member? Click here and first search to see whether another community member has already entered a similar suggestion. If a similar suggestion already exists, simply use the voting mechanism in Microsoft Connect.

If you have established that no similar suggestion has been submitted, click the “Create New” button, select the appropriate product and type in your suggestion along with company information and click Submit. It’s that simple.

Q. Will I be notified if someone responds to a suggestion?

A. Yes! Each time Microsoft responds to a suggestion the person who submitted the suggestion will get an email message indicating that your suggestion in Microsoft Connect was updated. If you would like to get notifications about responses on suggestions which someone else has submitted, simply open up the suggestion in the Microsoft Connect tool and click the “add to watchlist” link from the suggestion details screen.

Q. Can I see a list of all suggestions for an individual product?

A. This will depend on whether you have enrolled in more than one program. When logged into the Microsoft Dynamics Suggestion program via Microsoft Connect, you can view all publically available suggestions by opening the “Search feedback” screen. If you have signed up for more than one program, suggestions for all of the programs to which you are enrolled will be displayed.

Q. Can I see a list of product suggestions I have submitted?

A. Yes. To do this, log in to the Microsoft Dynamics Suggestions program via Microsoft Connect and open the “Search feedback” screen. Here you can see all of your suggestions under the “Posted by Me” section.

Q. How can I vote on a suggestion?

A. First, locate the suggestion you have an opinion on. Click the Up arrow to vote for the suggestion, or click the Down arrow to vote against it. Each person is only allowed to enter one vote; however, you can change your vote simply by clicking the other arrow.

Q. What happens to my product suggestions?

A. Your suggestion is delivered directly to the appropriate product development team based on the product line you specify. This process ensures that customers and partners can help shape how future versions of our software will work. During the planning phase, each product development team considers suggestions as possible new features for the next release.

Q. Why hasn’t anyone from Microsoft responded to my suggestion?

A. Microsoft Dynamics product development teams strive to respond to your suggestion within approximately one month of submission*. If you have not received a response on your suggestion within one month of submissions, please email mbsdynps@microsoft.com. *Note: Service level agreement only applicable to suggestions entered into Microsoft Connect

Q. What happened to the suggestions submitted previously via the public newsgroups?

A. Your suggestions are still available to our product development teams and will be considered for the next product planning cycle; however, these suggestions are not viewable via the Microsoft Connect tool and we are no longer accepting product suggestions via the public newsgroups. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Q. How do I report product bugs or defects instead of product suggestions?

A. Please only use the Microsoft Connect site to submit product suggestions, NOT product bugs or defects. If you are a Microsoft Dynamics NAV or Microsoft Dynamics AX partner in Europe, Middle East, or Africa, please visit PartnerSource for instructions on how to log product defects.

A. Customers and partners can submit suggestions about the Microsoft Dynamics family of products through Microsoft Connect. Telling us what you think is easy!

Q. Why does Microsoft encourage customers and partners to submit suggestions?

A. Enabling users to submit product suggestions through Microsoft Connect provides the following benefits: 

·    Thanks to the public, open forum, a large source of people can submit suggestions.

·    Community members can vote on features suggested by others, as well as provide product functionality workarounds.

·    Customers and partners get an easier way to view suggestions already submitted by other community members.

·    Future versions of Microsoft Dynamics products will be built with a better understanding of customer and partner needs.

·    Suggestions about product features and enhancements can be submitted any time of day or night, all year long.
